Can I buy online and still get the benefits/discounts?

How do I submit a claim?

You will need to contact the Khula Claims Department.

Do the premiums increase?

Yes, there is an annual increase. Policyholders will be notified 31 days prior to the increase.

What should I do if my phone is lost/stolen and I cannot retrieve my registered cell number?

You can contact support to have your number changed.

If I pass away and have covered my family, will the policy continue?

Yes, arrangements will be made for the policy to continue, circumstances permitting.

Can beneficiary details be changed, and how?

Yes, beneficiary details can be changed. Please contact support for assistance.

If I do not have a South African ID but have a permit, can I use my passport, and will I need to send proof of both to apply?

Yes, you can apply using your permit and passport together as proof.

What is the repatriation fee, and does it apply outside South African borders?

The repatriation fee is R1.50, which is included in the premiums. The repatriation benefit applies only within South African borders.

Are the benefits and discounts applied at all stores in the Shoprite Group of Companies?

The discounts and coupon benefits apply to Shoprite, Checkers, and Checkers Hyper.

Who does the family cover include?

Family cover includes the main member, spouse, and up to 6 children.
